SCOPE

Letter templates 
The static part of the letter format (e.g. headers and footers) is defined in a template or set of templates.

Rich Text Format files (RTF’s)
An RTF letter file is formatted using tags that automatically populate the relevant fields with the correct information.

Letter Linking Program (LLP)
A pre-defined Cerner Command Language (CCL) program associates the relevant template with the RTF file.

Document Types & Process
Front-end descriptive letter name (e.g. “Outpatient confirmation”) and letter generation logic.

Flex rules
A set of custom rules defines which letters are generated in which conditions.

Preparation text
Specific instructions for the patient are displayed on the printable letter.

Audit reports
Custom correspondence reports for troubleshooting and auditing.
